Senate votes YES to extend FMAP! Call your Representative Today to Get It Passed Into Law!!!
After six months of wrangling to get a bill to the finish line that, for Pennsylvania, would stave off deep cuts to essential services plus the loss of thousands of jobs, the Senate voted today to pass an extension of FMAP. The state’s share is about $600 million in critical aid.
The Senate bill now moves to the House for a vote to pass it into law. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi plans to bring the House back into session for a Tuesday vote. (They had already adjourned for the summer).
But House passage is not assured. Urgent action is needed to pass it into law.
Take Action: Call your U.S. Representative to urge him/her to vote ‘yes’ for the FMAP extension. Tell your Representative: “Thank you for returning to Washington to vote on an extension of FMAP. I appreciate your support and look forward to your ‘yes’ vote to pass the FMAP extension bill into law”.
Act NOW – our Representatives need to hear from you TODAY. Please urge your colleagues, networks and friends to do the same.
Thank you for your continued advocacy - here's a list of Southeastern PA U.S. Representatives:
