Congress must act to ensure that struggling families are not asked to do even more with less. We’re asking that important tax provisions enacted as part of the economic recovery act – provisions related to the Child Tax Credit and Earned Income Tax Credit – be made extended.
Now is the time for Congress to make tough choices about which tax breaks enacted under President Bush will survive (i.e. tax credits for low and moderate income families) and which ones will be allowed to expire (tax breaks for the top 2% of Americans).
The Pennsylvania delegation needs all of us to urge their action, to signal we support extension of tax credits for low and moderate income families.
