November 2nd Election is Almost Here and Southeastern PA Will Be Critical!
On November 2nd we’ll elect a US Senator, members of Congress, a new Governor and members of the General Assembly. A number of these seats are hotly contested, which means your vote will be decisive.
Kids have too much at stake for any of us to stay home on election day. The people we elect this year will shape the federal and state agendas over the next decade, and we need to make sure kids are high on their lists. Among other things, we will elect people who will determine:
• how children and families are protected as national health reform is implemented in Pennsylvania;
• whether we improve child care quality and expand access to child care, Head Start and Pre-K to all children who need it;
• what kind of education our children receive;
• whether federal and state government increase investments in quality schools;
• whether all children are able to grow up in safe, secure and healthy environments; and
• whether we continue to make investments in children and families to support our nation’s economic recovery.
Please make sure you go to the polls on November2nd. They’re open from 7 am to 8 pm. If you aren’t sure where to vote or what to bring with you, check www.votespa.com.
Take time to make a plan -- check out the candidates and decide ahead of time when you’ll go vote. Vote for candidates who will make children and youth a priority.

Make sure your friends, family and co-workers vote on November 2nd for candidates who will make children a priority. Remember, KIDS CAN’T VOTE, BUT YOU CAN!
