The Wait is Over!
On Friday evening, October 9th – 101 days after the 2009-2010 fiscal year began – the Pennsylvania General Assembly approved a budget and that was immediately signed into law by Governor Rendell.
Thanks to all of your efforts, the new budget largely maintains Pennsylvania’s commitment to children and youth. It increases basic education funding by more than five percent, makes a small increase for funding for children’s health insurance and preserves funding for early care and education.
